Karen Kulyuru Silver Earrings

Karen Kulyuru Silver Earrings

$65.00

These stunning silver earrings are a result of the collaboration between Australian indigenous designers from the Better World Arts Cross Cultural Projects and Peruvian silversmiths using traditional Inca jewellery techniques.

Karen describes her painting as Walka. Walka is any meaningful mark or pattern and may be an image on a cave wall, on rock or on sand and has cultural and ritual significance. It is used on the body during inma or ceremony. This painting depicts rockholes, sandhills and the roads between these places.

Karen is very influenced by the beautiful colours and shapes of the landscape. She uses both desert tones and brighter hue in her works. She often illustrates aspects of nature in her work, from the desert country where she grew up and also likes to paint the flora here in Adelaide, where she has lived for many years.
The price quoted here includes GST and free delivery within Australia.

Dimensions: 19 x 23mm

Material: Silver

Earrings presented in a gossamer gift bag with the designer's photo and details.
