These texturally exquisite cushion covers are created through Better World Arts Cross Cultural Projects. This cushion was designed by Rama Sampson of Ernabella Arts in the Anangu/Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara lands in central Australia and chain-stitched by skilled Kashmiri artisans with the highest quality Kashmiri wool. The Cross Cultural Projects give substantial benefits to all the participants in the production process. The results truly have to be seen and touched to be believed.

Ngayuku ngura/My birthplace

This cushion is taken from an original painting. Rama's birthplace is laced with stories of the ancestral beings who created the landmarks and played vital roles in the law giving stories. Ngayuku ngura means My Place and is used by Anangu to refer to the place where their bodies first touched the ground.
