These texturally exquisite rugs are created through Better World Arts Cross Cultural Projects. This rug was designed by Ungakini Tjangala & Pantjiti Lionel of Ernabella Arts in the Anangu/Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara lands in central Australia and chain-stitched by skilled Kashmiri artisans with the highest quality Kashmiri wool. The Cross Cultural Projects give substantial benefits to all the participants in the production process. These rugs also make exquisite wall hangings. The results truly have to be seen and touched to be believed.

The artists' favourite milpatjunanyi/sand story. About a man Eagle and his two wives, crow and cockatoo. The women are out gathering bush foods. Milpatjunanyi is a way of story telling passed on to young girls. The story is told and sung while being drawn in the sand.
Ungakini and Pantjiti are elder women who are the custodians of the knowledge of their people who have survived the harsh desert of Australia for generations.
