Paniny Mick Woollen Rug/ Wall Hanging

Paniny Mick Woollen Rug/ Wall Hanging

$630.00

These texturally exquisite rugs are created through Better World Arts Cross Cultural Projects. This rug was designed by Paniny Mick of Tjala Arts in the Anangu/Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara lands in central Australia and chain-stitched by skilled Kashmiri artisans with the highest quality Kashmiri wool.

This design is taken from an original painting. Paniny’s painting shows where the water collects (blue circles). The areas between the water holes are filled with plants that are eaten for food and creeks or kapi karu. The grasses grow in the creeks. The yellow circles are kampurarpa of bush tomatoes, as they are known in the Pitjantjatjara lands.

All BWA rugs come with a Certificate of Authentication.

The price quoted here includes GST and delivery is free within Australia.

Delivery usually within one week, depending on your location.

Dimensions: 90 x 150cm (3' x 5')
Material: Wool
