These handcrafted timber frames are made by the Mulbury Gallery in Victoria. They only use naturally-aged, rescued/recycled timbers to make their rustically appealing picture frames. The timber is mainly Victorian Ash Hardwood, which was grown locally many years ago, and is found in Australian native eucalypt forests.
Every frame has its own unique character. The irregularities are considered to be part of the design and not a defect. Mulbury frames typically boast old nail holes, knots, gum veins, shakes and splits, and some even have old hand-made nail heads that have been sanded back.
Each frame is oiled using natural plant oils and comes with glass and backing. If you would like it hung please choose either portrait or landscape wiring below. All frames can stand alone in both formats.
